Worship Commission – The Worship Commission promotes and strengthens the program of continuing liturgical renewal.

Eucharistic Ministers – Fully initiated members of the community are invited to distribute the Body of Christ during Mass. Eucharistic Ministers are asked to consider taking the Eucharist to the homebound or in hospitals or extended care facilities.

Lectors – Fully initiated members of the community are invited to proclaim the Word of God at Mass.  Lectors serve on a rotating schedule according to Mass preference.

Ushers – The ushers greet people as they arrive, assist in seating them, and provide aid during Mass.   They conduct collections and direct the flow of communicants and worshipers in processions.  They distribute information in the form of bulletins, booklets and oral communications.

Altar Servers – All parish youth, grades 4 and older, are invited to share in the parish liturgical ministries as altar servers.  Altar servers are scheduled on a rotating basis.  Training sessions are announced in the bulletin.

Music– The pastoral musician is any individual called by their baptismal promises to serve God and community with the gifts they have received to proclaim the kingdom of God. St. Mary’s parish has an active music program encompassing a wide variety of music ministries. Parishioners from the second grade and up are invited to participate as chorus members or instrumentalists in the various ministries. St. Mary’s Organ Fund-St. Mary’s Organ Fund Committee’s mission is to collect funds for the purchase, modification, or restoration and installation of a pipe organ at St. Mary’s Church. This group organizes and encourages various fundraisers, scrip sales, concerts, donations and memorial donations. For more information please call the music office 810-329-7801.

Chorister Choir and Bells-Choristers is a children’s choir open to all 2nd-84th graders. They rehearse after school on  Tuesdays from 3:30PM-4:40PM in the choir loft and assist at the 11:30 am liturgies. During the year, the choristers learn music theory, how to use their voice, and the rudiments of liturgy.

Chorister Bells-Chorister Bells is a beginning hand bell group open to all 2nd-4th grade students. This group rehearses on Tuesday after school, 3:40-4:40 pm in the choir loft. Students learn techniques in hand bell ringing and music theory as well as assist at school and parish liturgies as scheduled.

Adult Choir-The adult choir is open to ninth grade students through adults with a desire to sing and help lead the assembly in sung prayer. This choir rehearses Wednesdays, September through Pentecost May, 7:00-8:30 pm, and on Sundays, 8:0045-9:15 am, in the choir loft and assists at the 8:30-9:30 am liturgy as well as at special liturgies throughout the year.

Resurrection Choir-This is a chorus open to all parishioners who wish to sing for funeral or memorial liturgies for those buried from St. Mary’s community. Rehearsals are one half hour in the choir loft before the liturgy begins.

Cantors-Cantering is a program for soloists to help lead the assembly and encourage active participation in sung prayer. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 6:30-7:00 pm, in the choir loft.

Men’s Sectional Adult Choir- Rehearsal on Monday’s from 1:00pm-2:00pm.  Men of the Parish are encouraged to join us to rehearse the men’s parts of music for the adult choir.
