This rite is a process in which adults (or children over the age of seven) are welcomed into the Catholic faith community. It is a religious education program intended for those who have never been baptized, those who have not completed their initiation sacraments, or those of other Christian denominations who wish to become Catholic.
Meetings for adults are usually held weekly beginning in August and concluding at Easter. For more information on the adult program, please contact Richard Yamin: email@example.com or 810-329-2255
Children over the age of seven wishing to enter into the Catholic faith community through Baptism or who wish to complete their sacraments of initiation begin a program that is part home-based and part meeting-based. Meetings usually begin by August and conclude at Easter. For more information on the RCIA for children program, please contact: Mary Beth Blum, DRE, at 329-7801.
RCIA Sponsor- An RCIA sponsor is a person willing to be a friend, witness, companion and guide for a man or woman seeking Christian initiation. Sponsors do not teach, but rather accompany the person seeking initiation on their faith journey. The sponsor represents the community in a personal and direct way. Meetings are held as indicated above. Please contact Richard Yamin: firstname.lastname@example.org or 810-329-2255
